The Department of Humanities is seeking qualified candidates for a tenure-tract position at the rant of Assistant Professor of Music. Currently, this position supports the Common (i.e., general education) Curriculum.

Full-time teaching (15 semester credits) of undergraduate courses which may include evening, 周末, 混合动力, and/or on-line courses.  The courses include Music Appreciation, African-American Music, Music Fundamentals, Applied Voice I and II.  The candidate should have teaching experience at the college level.  Other responsibilities include advising students, mentoring students, serving on college committees, supervising undergraduate student research projects, and performing other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in music (D.M.A. 或Ph值.D.) in music or performance/pedagogy from a 区域ly accredited institution.

• Previous collegiate teaching experience is desired.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
• Strong interpersonal skills with students, 教师, and administrators.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with Professional experiences; nine-month position with potential for summer employment.

Nine-month appointment to begin fall semester 2021 (August 2, 2021).
